WHAT TO TELL YOUR GUESTS

In our experience, family and friends don’t know what to expect when attending an elopement ceremony. Here are a few recommendations we recommend sharing with them before the big day:

WHAT TO PACK

A few frequently overlooked necessities include sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, umbrellas, raincoats, and additional layers. On this day, it’s better to have it and not need it.

WHAT TO WEAR

Please consider the location, temperature, and elements when deciding on the appropriate attire. We encourage you to wear boots and pack flats. Since we’ll be outdoors, we’ll be doing the same. We want to feel confident in every step toward, “I do.”

OUR TIMELINE

Our elopement team will guide us through our day based on a timeline we worked together to dream up. Please consider that cell service may be spotty, GPS directions may not be reliable, and – depending on the time of year – your regular route may be closed. NATURALLY

We’re so excited to get married in a wonderful natural setting. Help us ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience while we keep this place looking untouched so others can enjoy its beauty, too. Who knows? Maybe we’ll be back to celebrate our anniversary in the years to come!

TECHNOLOGY

As a heads up, all the photos taken by our professional photographer will be available for you to download a few weeks after our wedding day. You are welcome to take photos, but please don’t have your phones out during our ceremony. We want you to be fully present with us. Bonus: We’re excited to see your smiling faces in our photos instead of your screens.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our picture-perfect day includes a destination that may require a bit of hiking to reach. We’re excited to invite you on this adventure with us – just be sure to plan accordingly. We won’t have access to bathrooms, and we’ll be a good distance from your parked car. If this isn’t something you’re comfortable with, we hope to share our story with you in the form of stunning photos our talented team captures.

QUESTIONS

What days of the week do you offer elopements?

Typically Monday – Thursday’s, there are less crowds and more privacy for couples. Some Friday’s & Sundays are available – Additional fees apply

How far in advance should I book ?

We book up to a year in the advance, booking earlier gives you more options, especially during peak season.

However, we work with couples who would plan to elope within a week’s time.

Why are locations limited in October?

October is the peak fall foliage season in the North Carolina mountains. Due to the volume of sightseers visiting the area, the Blue Ridge Parkway does not issue permits during October. Of course, we’ve got more amazing location ideas up our sleeves.

When do I receive my photos? How are they delivered? How many photos do I receive?

Within 3 weeks of your elopement your images will be delivered in an online gallery that you can download high resolution images from. You will receive at least 100 images.

Who are the photographers?

We work with a team of amazing photographers each of them have at least 8 years experience. Kathy does all the editing.

Do you book our hotel and make our reservations for dinner?

To offer our amazing packages we offer include what you need for your elopement. We are glad to offer recommendations for food and lodging. Couple is responsible for reservations/bookings.

May we bring outside food or drinks?

No outside food or drinks allowed at venue locations. We have add ons for you at these locations.

When do we get our bouquet and bout?

Your team will deliver it when they meet you to begin your coverage for the day.

Can you pick us up or drive us to our location?

Our insurance does not allow for this. We can recommend car services or you can use Uber or Lyft.

Are Dogs allowed?

Heck yeah, we ask if any family members will be attending. This includes your dogs. 🙂

Do you provide witnesses, it is only the two of us?

If you have photo and video coverage they serve as your witnesses. We typically will have someone on the trail serve as your witness, they love it! If you would like to add a witness to your package we are glad to do that, additional fee applies.
